Information we collect
We collect information you submit, including ownership-claim contact details, business-profile edits, authorized photos, support messages, and the email address used to sign in. We also receive routine technical information such as IP address, browser information, timestamps, request logs, and security events.
Stripe processes subscription payments. Heat & Plunge Pros does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
How we use information
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the directory.
- Review ownership claims and connect approved owners to listings.
- Publish business information authorized by an approved owner.
- Provide account access and transactional email messages.
- Administer Featured Installer subscriptions and paid placement.
- Prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and comply with law.
Service providers and disclosures
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to providers that help operate the service, including hosting and security providers, Supabase for authentication, Resend for transactional email, and Stripe for billing. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business reorganization.
We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and essential technology
We use essential session technology to keep signed-in owners and administrators authenticated and to protect account access. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain ownership and billing records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we maintain, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you. Some records may be retained where needed for security, billing, ownership history, or legal compliance. Approved business owners can update eligible profile information through the business dashboard.
Children
The service is intended for homeowners, commercial buyers, and business professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions or privacy requests can be submitted through our private contact form.
